Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team as a local or traveler position with immediate start options. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings, including acute care, long-term care, outpatient clinics, and specialized units.
Duties
- Deliver direct patient care across various departments, including emergency rooms, intensive care units, medical-surgical floors, and outpatient clinics.
- Manage complex clinical procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, ventilator management, and wound care.
- Coordinate discharge planning, case management, and follow-up care to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in specialties such as cardiology, ophthalmology, infectious disease care, geriatrics, behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, neonatal resuscitation procedures, and occupational health.
- Assist in training or mentoring new staff members on clinical protocols and documentation standards.
Requirements
- Valid registered nurse licensure in the relevant jurisdiction with current CPR/BLS certification.
- Proven experience in critical care settings such as ICU or trauma centers; experience working in emergency medicine or hospital medicine is highly desirable.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics (memory care & dementia), individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation law and discharge planning processes.
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments such as urgent care centers or outpatient clinics.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient-centered care.
