Our client is part of a publicly listed international group operating across the automotive and mobility sectors. With a strong presence across multiple markets, the company specialises in automotive distribution, services, and related commercial operations. As part of its continued European expansion, the group is currently establishing its operations in Austria and building a local team to support long-term growth.

About the role: We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to drive dealer performance and regional growth across Austria. The role combines sales execution with network development, contributing to the overall go-to-market strategy, managing a regional budget, and ensuring long-term market penetration.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and optimisation of the dealer network, identifying gaps and opportunities across the region
  • Work closely with existing dealer partners to improve sales performance, customer experience, and brand standards
  • Drive regional sales performance in line with company targets and KPIs
  • Support sales planning and forecasting activities, providing input based on dealer performance and market insights
  • Monitor key metrics (volume, margin, stock levels) and take proactive actions to improve results
  • Contribute to the implementation of pricing, campaigns, and incentive programmes
  • Act as a key point of contact for dealer partners within the assigned region
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, logistics, finance, product) to ensure smooth operations and alignment
  • Gather and share insights on market trends, competitor activity, and customer behaviour
  • Provide regular reporting on sales performance and dealer activity

Requirements:

  • MUST: 5+ years of experience in automotive sales, ideally in an Area Sales Manager, District Manager, or similar role
  • MUST: Strong experience working with dealer networks (OEM, importer, or distributor side)
  • Fluent German and professional working proficiency in English
  • Solid understanding of automotive retail operations, sales processes, and dealer performance management
  • Experience working with sales targets, forecasting, and performance tracking
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with dealer partners and internal teams
  • Hands-on, proactive mindset with a willingness to be present in the field
  • Degree in Business, Automotive Management, or a related field is a plus
