Regional Purchasing Manager – Indirect Materials

We are seeking a Regional Purchasing Manager – Indirect Materials to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization for indirect materials supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage sourcing, purchasing, and supplier performance for indirect materials including MRO, tools, devices, and CAPEX
  • Conduct market analysis, bid comparisons, and supplier evaluations
  • Develop purchasing strategies and negotiate contracts with national and international suppliers
  • Drive supplier consolidation, cost savings, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve escalated supplier issues
  • Prepare and complete RFQs, contracts, BETs, and project review documentation
  • Support cross-functional projects and collaborate with internal teams
  • Lead personnel planning and management of direct reports
  • Ensure compliance with corporate purchasing policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics, Engineering, Materials Management, Purchasing, or related field
  • 5–8 years of purchasing experience preferred, ideally in automotive manufacturing
  • Experience with indirect materials procurement (MRO, tools, devices, CAPEX, etc.)
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Knowledge of contract law and purchasing strategy development
  • SAP experience preferred (SAP R/3 knowledge a plus)
  • Strong technical and commercial understanding
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within project management teams
