We are seeking a Regional Material Planning and Logistics Lead to lead material planning, inventory management, and logistics activities across multiple manufacturing plants. Reporting to the Director, Global Material Planning & Logistics, this role is critical in supporting manufacturing operations, optimizing inventory performance, improving service levels, and driving cost efficiency across the region.

This is a hands‑on leadership position within a global operating environment, requiring close collaboration with plant teams and cross‑functional partners to ensure effective execution and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management & Planning

  • Lead inventory optimization using SAP parameters and PFEP, with a strong focus on meeting and exceeding AOP targets.
  • Drive standardized planning processes, KPIs, and “day‑in‑the‑life” best practices across assigned plants.
  • Lead inventory optimization projects in partnership with the global supply chain team.

Manufacturing & Footprint Optimization

  • Support global manufacturing footprint initiatives, including plant layout reviews, capacity planning, and production scheduling.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Lead cost‑reduction initiatives through process improvements, efficiency gains, and supplier optimization.

Global Supply & Logistics

  • Lead and develop a team of global supply analysts.
  • Optimize freight, inventory, and financial metrics across regions.
  • Lead global ocean bid activities to drive freight savings and lane optimization.
  • Strengthen collaboration across the internal supply chain to reduce inventory and improve performance.

People Development

  • Support staffing needs within assigned plants.
  • Build succession and development plans within the MP&L organization.
  • Coach and mentor team members and future leaders.
  • Actively support Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.

Cost, Service & Regional Performance

  • Drive continuous improvement in freight performance and logistics costs.
  • Ensure on‑time supplier delivery and strong plant service levels.
  • Maintain fill rates of 97%+ across finished goods, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes across manufacturing sites.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Service, IT, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in Material Planning, Materials Management, or Logistics
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP/SAP and inventory planning tools.
  • Proven experience leading teams in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.

Preferred

  • MBA.
  • Experience in Automotive and/or Off‑Highway industries.
  • Exposure to assembly, machining, or forging operations.
