About the Role:

The Regional Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of a diverse fleet across multiple locations within the United States. This role ensures that all vehicles and equipment are maintained to the highest safety and performance standards, minimizing downtime and operational disruptions. The manager will develop and implement maintenance strategies, coordinate with service providers, and lead a team of technicians and supervisors to achieve optimal fleet reliability. They will also analyze maintenance data to identify trends, forecast needs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in supporting the company’s operational efficiency and cost management objectives through effective fleet maintenance management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in a multi-site environment.
  • Proficiency with fleet management software and maintenance tracking systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Fleet Management (e.g., Certified Automotive Fleet Manager – CAFM).
  • Experience managing maintenance for a large and diverse fleet including heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial management related to fleet operations.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Experience working within a logistics or transportation company.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise regional fleet maintenance teams, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure fleet reliability and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to secure timely and cost-effective maintenance and repairs.
  • Monitor maintenance budgets, control costs, and prepare reports on fleet performance and maintenance activities.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and implement best practices across the region.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to fleet operations and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to align maintenance schedules with business needs and minimize vehicle downtime.
