$70,000 – $90,000 with 10% bonus potential

We are partnering with a growing manufacturing company that is looking to hire a Quality Department Lead who will have the opportunity to build and shape the entire quality function. This is a highly visible role within a company of approximately 55-60 employees, supporting a production team of 20-25 employees.

This position offers a unique opportunity for someone who wants to make a significant impact. The company plans to hire this individual first and then build out the quality team by adding two Quality Technicians underneath them.

What You'll Be Doing:

This role has two primary areas of responsibility:

Supplier Quality & Documentation

  • Develop and maintain PPAP packages and customer-required quality documentation
  • Create and maintain FMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and related quality documentation
  • Manage supplier qualifications, supplier quality requirements, and supplier audits
  • Ensure documentation and records comply with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements
  • Support internal and external quality audits

Quality Systems & Manufacturing Quality

  • Develop and improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Establish effective in-process quality controls throughout manufacturing operations
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality issues
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and quality projects
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and other departments to improve product quality and manufacturability

What They're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field (preferred)
  • 3-5+ years of Quality Experience in a manufacturing environment (electronics preferred)
  • Experience with PPAPs, FMEAs, Control Plans, and quality documentation
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation
  • Familiarity with inspection tools such as calipers, gauges, and related measuring equipment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • SolidWorks experience is preferred
