We're seeking a motivated Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team and play a critical role in delivering world-class products to our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges, working directly with customers and suppliers, and driving continuous improvement throughout the production process.

In this role, you'll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Customers to ensure products consistently meet quality standards while supporting new product launches, process improvements, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the investigation and resolution of internal, customer, and supplier quality issues.
  • Utilize Automotive Core Quality Tools, including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC, to improve product and process quality.
  • Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, responding to concerns and driving timely resolution of customer complaints.
  • Perform root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, Pareto Analysis, and other structured problem-solving tools.
  • Develop, implement, and verify corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring quality issues.
  • Support new product launches by ensuring all customer quality requirements are successfully achieved.
  • Manage customer-specific quality systems and maintain approved PPAP documentation for all customers.
  • Partner with suppliers to resolve supplier quality concerns and improve incoming material quality.
  • Manage product hold areas, determine product disposition, and coordinate containment, sorting, and rework activities when necessary.
  • Conduct product, process, layered, and system audits to ensure compliance with customer, ISO, and company quality standards.
  • Support ISO quality system compliance and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, work instructions, inspection standards, and product specifications.
  • Perform statistical analysis, capability studies, and process monitoring to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Production teams to reduce defects, improve processes, and drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required.
  • Recent Quality Engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Automotive Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC.
  • Experience working within ISO/IATF Quality Management Systems.
  • Proven experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and quality improvement techniques.
  • Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and product quality.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
