Responsibilities:
- Manage quality practices to deliver operational performance and implement best-in-class processes and systems.
- Ensure compliance of the company’s Quality Management System with customer, internal, ISO 9001, IATF16949, VDA, and legal/regulatory requirements.
- Monitor, measure, and review internal and external processes affecting organizational objectives.
- Engage with customers, staff, and partners to establish and maintain product and process requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing and integrating process flows, FMEA's, control plans, and FTP through all product phases.
- Support advanced product quality planning (APQP) for successful product launches.
- Drive continuous improvement through recommendations, planning, and execution of quality initiatives.
- Lead problem resolution processes, leveraging tools such as 8D, and ensure timely follow-up with customers.
- Represent the organization at customer and vendor sites regarding audits, technical issues, and quality concerns.
- Develop operational quality team talent and drive improvements in the cost of quality metric.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry, with deep knowledge of IATF quality standards.
- Comprehensive understanding of quality management systems including ISO 9001, IATF16949, and VDA.
- Proven ability to manage and maintain critical quality processes and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated customer engagement experience.
- Hands-on experience leading cross-functional quality initiatives and teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Advanced proficiency with APQP, FMEA, and control plan development.
- Experience utilizing 8D or other standard quality problem solving/reporting tools.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies relevant to automotive manufacturing.
- Familiarity with auditing procedures and customer-facing quality leadership.
- Demonstrated success in developing and mentoring quality teams.
