POSITION INFO:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience in quality assurance or a similar role (2-4 years’ experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in quality management systems and tools
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address quality-related issues
  • High attention to detail to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle high-pressure situations effectively
  • Strong commitment to achieving and maintaining quality standards
  • Proficiency in Excel (Power BI or any Business Intelligence tool exposure would be beneficial)

Knowledge and skills required:

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (NB)
  • Analytical skills for data analysis and continuous improvement (NB)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Excel, Power BI or similar tools) (NB)
  • Mathematical ability to perform calculations, interpret defect and claim statistics (NB)
  • Experience with automotive parts or mechanical parts (will have to identify issues with over 50 000 different parts) (NB)
  • Computer proficiency (NB)
  • Knowledge of the BlueYonder software (Advantageous) or similar Warehouse Management System’s
  • Proficiency in operating Cubiscan or similar dimensioning machinery (NB)
  • Inventory management knowledge
  • Conduct thorough inspections and audits of products and processes to ensure compliance with quality
  • standards and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrate precision in mathematical proficiency by maintaining an adept grasp of SI units
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to analyse data and identify areas for process improvement
  • Propose and implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance product quality and minimize defects
  • Utilize statistical tools and data analysis techniques to track and trend quality metrics
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality performance, defect rates and trends for management review
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Lead investigations into root causes of defects and non-conformities
  • Develop and execute action plans to address root causes and prevent their recurrence
  • Share lessons learned with team to enhance defect prevention strategies
  • Conduct quality audits to ensure their products and processes meet quality standards
  • Address quality issues and work together with your line manager to implement corrective actions
