Duties
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment using schematics, hand tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct repairs on electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC systems, and building interior features to ensure optimal operation and safety.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automated systems and implementing control solutions.
- Execute carpentry tasks including maintenance painting, drywall repair, door/window adjustments, and other building interior repairs.
- Maintain facilities equipment by inspecting, repairing, and replacing components; manage maintenance painting projects for aesthetic upkeep.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule upcoming tasks.
- Supervise or assist with team members during complex repairs or projects while ensuring safety protocols are followed diligently.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from residents or tenants and communicating effectively about repair timelines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or property repair roles with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Skilled in electrical work, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC system troubleshooting and repair, welding, carpentry, and general handyman tasks.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and the use of hand tools as well as electrical equipment repair tools such as ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices within residential or manufacturing environments.
- Experience working with CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
- Strong supervisory or leadership experience demonstrating the ability to guide teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and resident interactions.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently.
