An established and growing commercial general contractor is seeking a Project Manager to oversee ground-up and renovation projects across the retail, automotive, restaurant, and commercial sectors. The ideal candidate has experience managing $2M-$5M commercial construction projects, is proficient with Procore, and can lead projects from preconstruction through closeout while building strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from award through closeout.
  • Obtain permits and ensure compliance with all local building requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules utilizing Procore and Microsoft Project.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, change orders, and overall financial performance.
  • Coordinate procurement of subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
  • Lead project teams including Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators.
  • Monitor construction progress and proactively resolve project issues.
  • Ensure quality standards are achieved through regular site visits and inspections.
  • Maintain project documentation, reporting, and communication with all stakeholders.
  • Promote safe jobsite operations and compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Travel periodically to project sites throughout the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-7+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial general contractor.
  • Experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects valued between $2M-$5M.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Procore experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project scheduling preferred.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cost control experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project priorities.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but equivalent construction experience will be considered.
