The Project Lead – EV Charging is responsible for driving the strategic planning, development and execution of EV charging network deployment across key markets. This role oversees end-to-end infrastructure rollout, including site acquisition, design coordination, construction delivery and operational readiness, ensuring alignment with business growth, OEM requirements and national EV ecosystem development.
The role serves as the key interface between internal business units, government agencies, utility providers, site partners and external contractors to deliver scalable and reliable charging infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end EV charging project delivery from concept, design, approvals, construction to commissioning.
- Manage multiple concurrent project pipelines across regions, ensuring alignment with rollout strategy.
- Plan and control project schedules, budgets, resources, risks and overall execution performance.
- Coordinate with site owners, contractors, utility providers, authorities and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, technical and quality standards across all project phases.
- Oversee site development, installation, testing, commissioning and final handover to operations.
- Monitor project progress, resolve execution issues and escalate critical risks when necessary.
- Track charging network performance (uptime, KPIs, user experience) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience in infrastructure, energy, automotive, telecommunications or EV-related industries.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing contractors, vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of EV charging ecosystem, grid integration or energy infrastructure is highly preferred.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and stakeholder meetings.
- Occasional after-hours support during critical project deployments.
