We are looking for an Program Buyer (m/f/d) – Lead Acquisition Team to join our team in Slovenia and contribute to the next generation of innovative lighting solutions.
Your responsibilities
Program Buying
- Manage the procurement of materials and services for assigned programs and projects
- Request, evaluate, and compare supplier quotations; negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms
- Select, develop, and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Ensure on-time material availability while meeting cost, quality, and delivery objectives
- Collaborate closely with Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams
- Analyze procurement markets and identify cost-saving and process optimization opportunities
- Maintain purchasing data and prepare reports and performance analyses
Lead Acquisition Team
- Support the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities and customer projects
- Contribute to market, customer, and competitive analyses
- Support the preparation of quotations and cost estimates from a procurement perspective
- Work closely with Sales, Business Development, and cross-functional teams during the early acquisition phase
- Provide supplier, sourcing, and cost information to support customer proposals and business cases
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of lead acquisition processes and tools
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, or a related field; additional qualifications are an advantage
- Several years of professional experience in purchasing, program buying, project procurement, or strategic sourcing, preferably within the automotive industry or an international manufacturing environment
- Experience in supplier selection, supplier management, contract negotiation, and commercial purchasing activities
- Good understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and purchasing best practices
- Experience supporting new product launches, customer programs, or project-based purchasing activities
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, cost structures, technical drawings, and production technologies
- Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills
- Good understanding of cost calculation, quotation analysis, and sourcing strategies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and international project teams
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office applications
- Good project management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
