Role Description
The production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and efficient functioning of all kitting and VAS activities assigned to them. The Production Supervisor ensures that the results adhere to client specifications and serves as a liaison between floor team members and management, reporting progress and discussing challenges.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and is accountable for the daily flow of production to ensure that projects are worked in priority order
- Follows production schedule and allocates resources based on priority level of project
- Manages the number of associates and floor supervisors per project
- Focuses on balancing the workload efficiently and effectively with focus on matching team member skills to job requirements and to mitigate downtime
- Stays focused on achieving daily production goals according to plan while driving efficiency
- Coordinate with the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to schedule component deliveries to production areas
- A focus on process improvement and improving business KPIs
- Fostering a clean, organized work environment
- Meet or exceed OSHA guidelines while creating a safe working environment
- Responsible for supporting and developing a team of ~5-7 floor supervisors; ~ 10 QC and approximately 100-150 production associates
- Supports associates by addressing crucial questions such as payroll, production, job assignment to further the Dismas goal of retaining and valuing each and every associate
- Identifies associates with advancement skills and develops them into key team members
Qualifications and Skills
- Observed leadership skills that lead to high performance teams
- Detail-oriented with high ability to communicate and collaborate on regular basis both internally and externally
- Microsoft Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tools
