We’re partnering with a growing manufacturing organization looking to add a hands-on Manufacturing Production Operations Manager to their plant leadership team. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, driving performance, building strong teams, and creating structure in a fast-paced production environment.

This position is not about sitting behind a desk reviewing reports all day. The team is looking for a leader who can balance operational strategy with day-to-day execution, work closely with supervisors and hourly teams, and help move the operation forward across safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.

The environment is multi-shift manufacturing with a strong focus on operational discipline, accountability, workforce engagement, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Leading daily production operations and driving schedule attainment
  • Managing production performance across safety, quality, delivery, labor efficiency, scrap reduction, and OEE
  • Coaching and developing front-line leadership and production teams
  • Creating accountability through KPI management, standard work, and floor presence
  • Partnering closely with engineering, maintenance, and supply chain to improve plant performance
  • Leading Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Supporting workforce engagement and helping build a strong plant culture
  • Driving OSHA compliance and reinforcing a strong safety-first mindset
  • Troubleshooting operational challenges and removing production bottlenecks
  • Helping improve efficiency, throughput, uptime, and overall plant execution

Team & Operational Scope

Direct leadership responsibility for:

  • Production Supervisors
  • Process Engineering
  • Maintenance leadership and technicians
  • Facilities coordination
  • Indirect oversight of 73+ hourly employees
  • Multi-shift manufacturing operation

What They’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will also be considered
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a production environment
  • Strong background in manufacturing operations management
  • Experience leading in fast-paced production environments
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience
  • Ability to drive KPIs and operational accountability

  • Root cause analysis
  • Process improvement

  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong floor engagement

  • Automotive or commercial vehicle manufacturing experience is a plus
