Job Summary
We’re looking for a Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in Portugal. This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of day-to-day production, drive improvements, and build a high-performing team.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety across the factory, while helping us scale and continuously improve how we operate.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise production operations, ensuring efficiency and meeting deadlines;
- Implement and monitor quality and safety processes in the production environment;
- Coordinate and lead work teams, promoting professional development;
- Identify and implement improvements in production processes to maximise efficiency;
- Manage resources and materials, ensuring cost optimisation;
- Analyse performance indicators and report to management;
- Ensure compliance with environmental and occupational safety standards;
- Collaborate with other departments to align production with the company's strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Academic background in Engineering, Industrial Management or related field;
- Experience in the automotive, metalworking and chemical industries;
- Previous experience in leadership roles in Production, Design or Product;
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and production management;
- Ability to analyse data and solve complex problems;
- Communication and leadership skills to motivate teams;
- Fluency in English;
- Knowledge of management tools and industrial software.
