Purpose Of Job/Job Objective
Powerfleet has a vacancy for a Product Technical Support Consultant based in Midrand. The main responsibility of this role is to provide telephonic and written troubleshooting and support to Technicians and Fitment partners regarding unit fitment, including wiring, unit fault finding, hardware, functionality, installation, and software, and to all internal departments related to product functionality, features, and product operation, as well as customer complaints related to product operation. Create, analyse, and provide insights on product operation, quality of fitment, and technology failures.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Support Fitment partners with Salesforce testing
- Evaluate and advise technicians to ensure product fitment is correct and resolve any issues preventing the solution from being test and passed.
- Advise technicians on fitment best practices related to installation, wiring, product placement, and securing of the hardware..
- Create datasets to analyse and identify negative trends. Including but not limited to New fitments, product types, vehicle type, Fitment, fitment partners, technicians, area of installation.
- Provide Product support and expertise on all Retail products to all internal department including hardware ,software and app functionality.
- Identify system related issue affecting product testing.
Education And/or Work Experience Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers/ Fitment centres and technicians.
- Strong telephonic communication skills.
- Excellent Excel or Power BI computer proficiency, able to create and analyse large data set to provide intelligence.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- 2 years’ experience troubleshooting hardware electronic products (preferable wireless type solutions), web based software and /or Smartphone apps
- Automotive fitment experience
- RF knowledge
- Tracking product and fitment knowledge/experience
- Video telematics experience
- Matric is compulsory.
