1. Position Objective
Be responsible for the overall project management and cross-functional coordination during the mass production phase of plastic exterior trim products. Organize production, quality, engineering, and other departments to efficiently undertake mass production requirements, ensure on-time delivery with required quality, lead customer reviews and design/engineering change management during the mass production phase, and maintain customer satisfaction as well as business objectives.
2. Main Responsibilities and Job Duties
1) Organize mass production launch and handover:
Lead mass production readiness assessment, and organize production, quality, and engineering departments to implement mass production assurance plans. Track production ramp-up, takt time achievement, and bottleneck process improvement to ensure target output, operational efficiency, and stable supply.
2) Delivery achievement:
Serve as one of the customer delivery interfaces during the mass production phase, coordinating decisions and resource allocation in response to changes in customer demand, delivery abnormalities, and urgent orders. Drive delivery risk management, develop contingency plans, and organize execution to ensure delivery quality throughout the process.
3) Lead customer review/audit response:
Take the lead in customer reviews and audits during the mass production phase, formulate audit preparation plans and document checklists, and organize cross-functional teams to prepare and review submitted materials to ensure consistency and traceability.
4) Product design change / engineering change management:
Act as the lead for change management during mass production, organize impact assessments for changes, supervise change validation and implementation, maintain change logs, and ensure timely update and control of change documentation.
5) Mass production issue and customer complaint closure:
Lead cross-functional efforts in addressing major mass production quality issues and customer complaints, including rapid containment, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and effectiveness verification.
6) Cost and business support:
Participate in cost improvement and claim management during the mass production phase, and drive data collection and negotiation support.
7) Mass production project department management:
Establish a mass production project management system and team responsibilities, formulate and drive regular mass production project meeting mechanisms, and ensure issue closure. Coordinate mass production project KPIs, conduct monthly reviews, and promote continuous improvement.
3. Qualifications
1) Education:
Bachelor’s degree or above preferred.
2) Experience:
More than 8 years of experience in automotive parts project management, quality, or manufacturing, including at least 3 years of team management experience; familiarity with plastic exterior trim products is preferred.
3) Knowledge:
Familiar with management systems and tools, with a sound understanding of the basic requirements of IATF 16949, APQP/PPAP/CP/8D, PFMEA, and SPC/MSA; experience in responding to customer audits is required.
4) Competencies:
Strong communication and coordination skills, ability to work under pressure, strong problem-closure capability, and competence in project execution and data-driven decision-making.
5) Language Requirements:
Able to use English as a working language; Thai language skills are preferred.
