The Role
Here's where your expertise will make a real difference:
- Oversee the full supplier lifecycle – from selection and evaluation through to contract negotiation and ongoing performance management
- Design and implement sourcing strategies that reduce supply dependency and strengthen chain resilience
- Lead cost optimisation initiatives and support localisation programmes to grow regional supplier contribution
- Ensure all procurement activity remains compliant with internal policies, ESG commitments, and applicable regulations
- Anticipate and manage supply chain risks, with robust contingency planning to keep production on track
- Coordinate material readiness for new model introductions, working hand-in-hand with Engineering and Quality teams
- Monitor and elevate supplier performance through structured audits, KPI reviews, and joint improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
Here's the profile we have in mind:
- A degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- A minimum of 5 years' procurement experience gained within the automotive or manufacturing sector
- A confident negotiator with strong commercial instincts and well-developed stakeholder management skills
- Financially literate, with a structured and project-driven approach to delivery
- A proven background in cost management, risk mitigation, and supplier performance improvement
