Role Description This full-time, on-site Process Engineer role is based at Taber Extrusions’ facility in Russellville, AR. The Process Engineer will develop, optimize, and document manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in aluminum extrusion operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing production data, identifying process bottlenecks, conducting root cause investigations, and implementing corrective actions. The role involves collaborating with operations, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to design and refine process controls, support new product introductions, and ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures. The Process Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support equipment upgrades, and provide technical guidance to production staff.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Process Engineering and Chemical Engineering for designing and improving manufacturing processes.
- Candidates should possess skills in Process Design and Process Control to develop, document, and maintain stable and efficient production workflows.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, solve complex problems, and drive continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in metals manufacturing, extrusion, or similar heavy industrial environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards, such as ISO-9001, and familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency with process modeling, data analysis tools, and standard office and engineering software.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams on-site.
