Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Plant Manager to lead all aspects of manufacturing operations in a fast-paced automotive production environment. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are consistently achieved. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience within a Tier 1 automotive supplier environment and a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles, including the Toyota Production System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for plant operations including production, quality, maintenance, engineering, and logistics
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across all departments
  • Lead and develop a team of supervisors and department managers to meet and exceed KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, including OEM standards (Toyota, Nissan, etc.)
  • Implement and sustain lean manufacturing initiatives (TPS, Kaizen, 5S, waste reduction)
  • Manage plant financial performance including budgets, cost control, and capital planning
  • Oversee production scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to meet delivery targets
  • Partner with corporate leadership on strategic initiatives and long-term operational goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field (preferred)
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably Tier 1 automotive
  • Demonstrated success managing production teams and achieving operational KPIs
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience working with OEM customers and meeting strict quality standards
  • Proven ability to lead through change and drive cultural transformation
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with exhaust systems, metal fabrication, or assembly manufacturing
  • Background supporting customers such as Toyota, or other major OEMs
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO standards, and automotive quality systems
  • Managing multiple facilities
