Location: Cape Town CBD
Salary: R15 000 – R20 000 per month (Basic) + Commission & Incentives
Introduction
An established automotive dealership in Cape Town CBD is seeking an experienced Parts Salesperson to join its Parts Department on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have solid dealership parts sales experience within a multi-franchise environment and a strong understanding of automotive parts operations. Experience working with the Keyloop Dealer Management System will be advantageous.
The role requires a customer-focused individual who can operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy, organisation, and service delivery.
POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities Assist walk-in, telephone, and email customers with parts enquiries across multiple vehicle brands. Accurately identify vehicle parts using electronic parts catalogues and VIN numbers. Prepare quotations, process sales orders, and upsell additional parts and accessories. Supply workshop technicians with required parts to minimise vehicle downtime. Receive, verify, unpack, label, and shelve incoming stock. Participate in stock counts and inventory management activities. Monitor outstanding customer orders and supplier backorders. Process supplier returns and warranty-related parts where applicable. Generate invoices and process cash, card, and account customer transactions. Collect deposits for special-order parts and monitor outstanding balances. Coordinate parts deliveries and courier dispatches within the local area. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe parts counter and warehouse environment. Build and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships. Achieve monthly sales targets while delivering excellent customer service. Minimum Requirements Matric (Grade 12). Valid Code 8 driver's licence. Minimum of 3 years' automotive parts sales experience within a dealership environment . Previous experience within a multi-franchise dealership is essential. Experience using the Keyloop Dealer Management System will be highly advantageous. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Strong knowledge of automotive parts and dealership parts operations. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Effective time management and organisational skills. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
