Role Description The Parts Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for assisting customers, service advisors, and technicians with identifying, locating, and ordering the correct parts for a wide variety of vehicles. Day-to-day activities include looking up parts in electronic catalogs, preparing accurate parts quotes, processing orders, and managing parts counters for both retail and internal customers. The Parts Representative will help receive, stock, and organize inventory; verify shipments; and maintain clean, orderly storage areas. Additional responsibilities include handling phone and in-person inquiries, coordinating special orders, processing returns, and collaborating with service and sales departments to ensure timely repairs and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Experience with automotive parts identification, catalog lookup, and parts ordering systems.
- Knowledge of vehicle components, OEM and aftermarket parts, and basic automotive repair terminology.
- Strong customer service, active listening, and clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency, including point-of-sale systems, inventory software, and email.
- Ability to lift and move automotive parts as required and stand for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a dealership or automotive parts environment is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or automotive training is a plus.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
