Why This Role:

As Geely Auto Australia (GAA) enters a critical growth phase, building a robust and scalable national parts function is essential to supporting dealer success, enhancing customer experience, and ensuring business continuity. The Parts Specialist will support the Parts Manager in overseeing the parts department, managing inventory, distribution and special projects to ensure efficient operations. This position requires strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Within the delegated authority from the Parts Manager, take responsibility for parts master data, ordering and purchasing decisions, ensuring an optimal balance between inventory levels in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Participate in the development of annual and quarterly parts sales strategies and take ownership of tracking execution and analysing outcomes for sales target achievement.
  • Supporting the Parts Manager in daily tasks, such as tracking sales targets, project deliverables, and ensuring smooth workflow within the department and GAA.
  • Conduct monthly analysis of sales, inventory, returns, and quality data, generate actionable improvement recommendations, and drive implementation.
  • Lead communication with suppliers and dealer partners on specific projects, such as new product introduction, quality improvement, and process optimisation.
  • Assisting internal and external customers with parts inquiries, providing accurate information, and ensuring timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Collaborate with other departments, regional field staff and dealerships to identify opportunities to enhance service quality, grow parts sales, and improve accessory fitment ratio to enhance customer experience.
  • Support the dealer onboarding process and procedures with training for optimal dealer performance.
  • Support with the development, implementation and maintenance of national parts processes, procedures and quality reporting in line with GAA and HQ performance evaluation.
  • Coordinate with HQ, suppliers and stakeholders to develop systems integration to improve operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement through regular dealer performance reviews.
  • Oversee warranty returns, manage root-cause analysis for defective parts, and drive continuous quality improvement.

Job Requirements:

  • 2-5 years previous experience in an automotive OEM parts department or similar role.
  • Proficiency in ERP and DMS platforms, with strong analytical ability to interpret data and drive improvements.
  • Experience with automotive parts inventory planning, procurement, shipping and control procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues related to parts, inventory, distribution and customer service.
