Job Summary
The Parts Executive is responsible for managing parts inventory, forecasting demand, processing dealer orders, and ensuring timely parts availability to support dealership and aftersales operations. The role also oversees parts pricing, receiving, and order fulfillment while working closely with dealers and service teams to maintain efficient parts operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
1. Parts Inventory Management
- Forecast parts demand based on historical usage, market requirements, and dealership needs to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Monitor current inventory levels and identify potential shortages or excess stock.
- Coordinate parts replenishment and place orders to ensure sufficient stock availability.
- Receive incoming parts and ensure accurate inventory recording, labelling, and storage.
2. Dealer Parts Order Management
- Process and manage daily incoming parts orders from dealers accurately and efficiently.
- Review and coordinate special parts orders to ensure timely fulfilment.
- Follow up on order status and coordinate with relevant parties to resolve supply or delivery issues.
3. Parts Pricing & Profitability
- Review and maintain parts pricing to support business profitability and market competitiveness.
- Ensure accurate pricing information is maintained for dealer orders and parts transactions.
4. Dealer & Aftersales Support
- Work closely with dealer service managers to understand parts requirements and ensure parts availability for scheduled repair and maintenance jobs.
- Assist dealers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts based on vehicle and service requirements.
- Provide timely support to dealers on parts availability, orders, and related enquiries.
5. Parts Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and dealers to ensure smooth parts ordering and fulfilment processes.
- Monitor parts supply and delivery status to minimize delays and ensure timely availability.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to inventory, orders, and parts operations.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in automotive parts management, parts operations, inventory management, or a related field.
- Experience working with automotive dealerships or aftersales operations.
- Good communication and coordination skills with dealers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail with good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP or inventory management systems is an advantage.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
