What you’ll be doing:
- Track all incoming and outgoing parts for a dealership.
- Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
- Handle parts payment collection and make sure all parts are billed correctly through the service department and collision repair shop.
- Package and ship parts back to the manufacturer from time to time, and complete the appropriate record keeping.
- Refer to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronic format) to identify exactly the right part(s) for the make, model, and year of vehicles being serviced.
- Provide high level service to internal and external customers and work with technicians to fill repair orders.
- Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record & background check.
- Technical degree preferred but not required.
- ASE certifications preferred but not required.
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Pre-employment drug screening required.
- Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic/ working on cars.
- Knows how to use shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
- Effective analytical and communication skills.
- Good reading, computer, and mathematics.
- Positive attitude, team oriented, strong work ethic and good references, and flexibility.
