Role Description The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Wichita, KS, responsible for overseeing daily aircraft detailing operations and ensuring service quality, safety, and efficiency. This role manages scheduling, job assignments, and workflow across detailing teams to ensure timely completion of projects and consistent adherence to company standards. The Operations Manager monitors inventory of products and equipment, coordinates maintenance, and implements process improvements to optimize productivity. The role includes supervising, training, and coaching team members, promoting a culture of safety and accountability, and ensuring compliance with aviation and workplace regulations. The Operations Manager also collaborates with leadership and franchise partners on resource planning, reporting, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong operations management skills, including workforce planning, scheduling, and process optimization.
- Experience leading on-site teams in a service, automotive, aviation, or similar environment, with a focus on safety and quality.
- Proficiency in basic business tools (such as scheduling software, spreadsheets, and inventory tracking systems).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills for working with team members, leadership, and customers.
- Knowledge of or interest in aviation maintenance, detailing, or industrial cleaning processes; prior aviation experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in a physically active, on-site role, including standing, bending, and working around aircraft and equipment as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in operations, business, or aviation are preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet airport or facility access requirements, if applicable.
