JOB SUMMARY

  • We are seeking an experienced and strategic Commercial Manager to lead our client China business development and account management efforts with Original Equipment (OE) manufacturers in the automotive and motorcycle industries. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence within the OE segment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Business Development & Strategy

  • Conduct thorough market analysis to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including RFQ/RFP processes, new project acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
  • Create strategic roadmaps for key accounts to drive long-term growth and profitability.

Account Management

  • Serve as the primary commercial interface for assigned OE accounts, managing the entire customer lifecycle from initial contact through project execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at multiple levels within customer organizations (purchasing, engineering, quality, etc.).
  • Lead annual price negotiations and contract renewals, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer deliverables.

Sales Performance Management

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for senior management.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including market share, customer satisfaction, and profitability metrics.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor and above degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in commercial roles within the automotive or motorcycle industry, with at least 3-5 years focused on OE accounts.
  • As a project leader, a full-cycle COEM 0-1 bidding experience is a must.
  • Proven track record of managing OEM accounts and achieving revenue growth targets.
  • Deep understanding of automotive OE supply chain dynamics and procurement processes. Connection with domestic OE procurement is a plus
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in pricing strategies, contract negotiation, and P&L management.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulations. Technical background or understanding of automotive components/systems would be a plus
