Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division – a new era of mobile repair.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing.
- Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
- Carry out in‑depth repairs typically completed in a workshop.
- Provide member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
- Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
Work Environment
- Pre‑booked, scheduled list of jobs with clear digital schedule.
- Work from a fully equipped RAC van with fuel card, uniform, full tool set and advanced diagnostics.
- 40 hours per week (8:30–17:00 core hours, 1 in 4 Saturdays).
- Opportunity to work up to 6 Saturdays per month for overtime.
- Option to choose guaranteed overtime after first month.
Qualifications
- Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive base salary of £40,178, with on‑target earnings of up to £52,000.
