Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metrology Technician to perform both field and in-lab calibrations on a wide range of test and measurement equipment. This hands-on role combines technical expertise with customer interaction, making it ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and building relationships.
What You’ll Do
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair measurement instruments (force, dimensional, multimeters, torque tools, pressure gauges, flow, and temperature equipment)
- Perform both on-site and in-laboratory calibration services
- Document and certify calibration results in accordance with national and international standards
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 quality systems and procedures
- Maintain and verify calibration standards and equipment
- Partner with customers to understand their needs and deliver reliable solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold our quality standards
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in calibration, metrology, or instrumentation (preferred)
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and temperature controllers
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Military PMEL or TMDE calibration experience is a plus
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and travel locally as needed
