Job Summary
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the routine maintenance on mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, conveyors, kiln, Cooler & Bucket elevator).
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, conveyors, kiln, Cooler & Bucket elevator).
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical faults promptly.
- Document maintenance activities and report issues to supervisors.
- Adhere to safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Participate in plant shutdowns, overhauls, and emergency repairs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or sectional heads
Requirements
- OND, Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience.
- Good practical and technical skills.
- An understanding of engineering drawings and principles.
- Communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
