Mechanical Engineering Manager – Industrial Refrigeration
An exciting opportunity has opened for a seasoned Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a high‑performing engineering department and take full technical ownership of complex industrial refrigeration projects. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who thrives on technical excellence, team development, and delivering robust, high‑quality engineering solutions.
What You’ll Lead & Deliver
We're looking for someone with strong engineering capability who can independently design a site built ammonia system from scratch. Key competencies include:
- Independent selection of pipes and vessels using curves and tables; familiarity with software such as Coolselector (Danfoss)
- Experience with two stage systems
- Knowledge in designing water/glycol systems
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics and its principles
- Exposure to projects with a high number of compressors
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, or equivalent
- 10+ years in industrial refrigeration system design, including supervisory or managerial experience
- Strong technical authority with excellent analytical and decision‑making skills
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management abilities
- Highly organized, detail‑driven, and results‑oriented
