Essential Functions

  • Responsible for creating detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., NX, CATIA, SolidWorks).
  • Responsible for analyzing 3D models and engineering drawings from other sources for engineering feasibility.
  • Responsible for collaborating with electrical engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical, acoustic, and electrical systems seamlessly.
  • Responsible for conducting detailed analysis and simulations to validate design concepts and optimize performance.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining detailed documentation, including design specifications, DFMEAs, an open issues list, test plans, and technical reports to stakeholders.
  • Responsible for performing and/or coordinating testing and troubleshooting of prototypes and final products to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Responsible for developing, reviewing, and presenting Technical Design Review materials to customers during the program quoting phase.
  • Provide support toward the certification and ensure compliance with customer-required quality management systems (TISAX, TS16949, IATF, etc.)
  • Positions that fall under the functions of Product Development, Legal, HR, IT, and Executive Management are required to exercise a higher level of confidentiality and discretion in handling information the positions have access to.

Non-essential Functions

  • Prepare sample parts for appearance reviews with customers.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in electro-mechanical engineering and incorporate new technologies and methodologies into designs.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING
    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (master’s degree preferred), or approved equivalent.

Knowledge of mechanical design, particularly in electro-mechanical automotive systems.

  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., NX, CATIA) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
  • understanding of electrical principles and their application in mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license required
