Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic manufacturing Engineering Department. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create detailed designs and release drawings for a variety of mechanical assemblies, robotics, and test equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design mechanical assemblies, robotics, and test equipment from concept to production.
- Collaborate with other engineers and departments to ensure designs meet functional, performance, and manufacturing requirements.
- Create and release detailed design drawings using cad software using Creo.
- Perform design analysis, such as tolerance stack-up and stress analysis, to ensure product reliability.
- Complete the design to specification, budget and target date.
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to resolve any design or production challenges.
- Continuously improve design processes and methodologies.
- Present and participate in internal and external design reviews.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) preferably using Creo/Pro-Engineer
- Ability to take initiative, meet deadline and work in a team environment.
- Good organizational and communications skills.
- Ability to be flexible and multitasking.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Methodical approach, passionate with an emphasis on accuracy and quality of work.
- Be ready to take up challenges; have personal qualities of drive, energy and enthusiasm.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
