Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Mechanic role located in Drayton Valley, AB. The Mechanic will be responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy equipment, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring all vehicles and equipment are operational and safe to use. The role involves a commitment to safety standards and contributing to an efficient and reliable transportation operation.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair
- Experience with Heavy Equipment, including its operation and repair
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting mechanical and technical issues
- Ability to conduct diagnostics, use appropriate tools, and follow safety protocols
- Relevant technical certifications or trade qualifications (e.g., Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Certification) preferred
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures, especially in transportation and heavy industries
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
