Key Outputs
- Disassemble, troubleshoot, inspect, evaluate, and assemble components to OEM standard.
- Compile accurate component analysis and reports
- Maintain professional image when representing BWE
- Warranty, REMAN returns
- Compile component condition / failure reports
- Safety Orientated
- Inspect, Repair and Maintain CAT equipment
- Compile accurate customer machine analysis and reports including Machine Inspection Reports (MIR’s) and Technical Analysis Reports (TA’s)
- Maintain professional image when representing BWE
- Ensure safe work practice
- Control Contamination
- Control own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.)
- Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained.
Qualification, Experience And Competencies
- Matric or equivalent
- Qualified in relevant trade (e.g. Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) NQF 3
- 3 years as a qualified Diesel Mechanic/Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic
- Component specific technical knowledge and skills
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic technical report writing
- Basic business and financial understanding
- Computer Literacy (SIS, STW & ET) knowledge
- Component rebuilding experience – minimum 5 years
- Applicable product knowledge
- Drivers licence – Code C1
- Understanding of supplier warranty systems, policies & procedures
- Understanding of the MHSA
