We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Mechanic / Branch Supervisor – Atlantis
Overview:
This role combines senior mechanical responsibilities with branch supervision, staff coordination, and operational oversight. The successful candidate will be a practical leader who can work independently, manage priorities, and ensure high standards across the workshop and branch operations
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical & Technical
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on motorhomes and company vehicles
- Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and scheduled services
- Assist with vehicle breakdowns within reasonable timeframes
- Apply basic auto-electrical skills when required
- Ensure all vehicles are safe, compliant, and roadworthy
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop housekeeping standards
Branch & Supervisory
- Oversee daily workshop and branch operations
- Coordinate, support, and supervise mechanics and workshop staff
- Allocate workloads, monitor productivity, and ensure deadlines are achieved
- Assist staff with technical and operational challenges
- Communicate with head office regarding reporting, planning, and operational requirements
- Uphold company policies, safety standards, and professional conduct
- Drive branch efficiency and deliver excellent customer service
Minimum Requirements
- Red Seal qualification with 3+ years mechanical/technical experience (diesel/mechanical background advantageous)
- Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
- Valid driver’s licence and passport (Code 10 beneficial)
- Basic auto-electrical knowledge
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Strong sense of responsibility and accountability
- Leadership skills with solid communication and problem-solving abilities
