Job Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sibiu. Remote work is not available for this role.
We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Material Planner to join our team in Sibiu. In this role, you will be responsible for managing material flow, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring the timely availability of materials to support production schedules. You will work collaboratively with procurement, production, and supply chain teams to maintain efficient operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

- Analyze demand forecasts and historical data to develop accurate material plans and procurement schedules
- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock while minimizing carrying costs
- Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on inventory status, material usage, and supply chain performance
- Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks and material shortages proactively
- Collaborate with production planning teams to align material availability with production requirements
- Maintain organized records of material specifications, supplier information, and procurement documentation
- Utilize ERP systems and planning tools to track materials and generate forecasting reports
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance planning processes and reduce waste
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding material availability and supply chain updates
Qualifications
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
- Proven experience in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain coordination
- Strong proficiency in demand forecasting and inventory optimization techniques
- Advanced English skills
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office tools
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, or similar platforms)
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, modeling, and reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
Desirable Skills/Qualifications
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
- Knowledge of vendor management and supplier relationship practices
- Familiarity with supply chain planning software and forecasting tools
