Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Master Automotive Technician role based in Greater London. The Master Automotive Technician will perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with manufacturer standards. Daily tasks include conducting routine inspections, performing oil changes, servicing suspension systems, and addressing complex mechanical issues. The role also involves accurately documenting work performed, advising on necessary repairs, and collaborating with service advisors and colleagues to deliver high-quality customer service. The technician will be expected to maintain a clean, safe workspace and stay current with evolving automotive technologies and best practices.
Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, with the ability to manage both routine service and complex mechanical work.
  • Proficiency in Oil Changes and related fluid services, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and service intervals.
  • Hands-on experience in Automotive Repair, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and component replacement across major vehicle systems.
  • Practical expertise in Suspension inspection, maintenance, and repair to support safe handling and optimal ride quality.
  • Recognized automotive qualifications (e.g., NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent); master or advanced certifications are highly beneficial.
  • Proven experience in a similar technician role, ideally within a busy workshop or dealership environment.
  • Ability to use modern diagnostic tools, follow technical manuals, and interpret fault codes accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with colleagues and explaining technical issues in clear, accessible terms.
  • Valid driver’s license suitable for the UK and a clean driving record.
