Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Marine Engineer role located in Bowness-On-Windermere. The Marine Engineer will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for yachts and other marine vessels. Key responsibilities include inspecting and servicing marine engines, mechanical components, and other onboard systems while adhering to industry standards and safety guidelines. Candidates will collaborate with a team to ensure customer satisfaction and the efficient operation of all vessels. Occasional interaction with yacht owners regarding technical issues may also be required.
Qualifications
- Experience within the Navy, Maritime, or Marine Industry. Or indeed a strong Automotive background looking to switch.
- Skills in Maintenance & Repair and troubleshooting mechanical or propulsion systems for marine vessels
- Expertise in Marine Engineering and familiarity with related tools and technologies
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Commitment to safety protocols and industry standards
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in marine engineering or a related field are a plus
- Prior experience with Beneteau yachts or similar vessels is advantageous
