Location: Taiwan, Taiwan
About Supply Chain Resources Group (SCRG)
Supply Chain Resources Group (SCRG) is the execution partner for the world's most innovative
hardware companies. We help everyone from the biggest tech companies to the most promising start-ups design, implement, and manage their product manufacturing supply chain. SCRG provides manufacturing and supply chain advisory services, vendor management services, and highly skilled technical resources in the world’s major manufacturing centers. From prototypes and early-stage New Product Introduction (NPI) to full high volume mass production, our teams bring speed, clarity, and control to complex global supply chains.
Role Overview
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer supporting eBike Drive Systems, you will advise and assist our clients with end-to-end manufacturing process development, line bring-up, fixture validation, and production readiness for next-generation electric motor products. You will bridge the gap between our client’s hardware engineering teams and the global supply base, ensuring that advanced eBike drive systems meet rigorous targets for cost, quality, and delivery. You will serve as the technical leader on the factory floor, playing a key role in improving production yield, assembly quality, cycle time, and long-term manufacturing stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Process Development: Drive manufacturing process development for electric motors, particularly in the areas of stator, rotor, assembly, and testing. Define and optimize production flows.
- NPI & Production Readiness: Participate in NPI activities from EVT, DVT, and PVT stages through mass production. Lead line layout planning, line bring-up, fixture buy-off, and line qualification activities.
- Supplier Performance & Factory Execution: Work closely with contract manufacturers to manage production yield, process quality, and factory execution. Audit manufacturing processes, fixtures, and test equipment.
- DFM/DFA Execution: Conduct DFM analysis and provide manufacturability feedback to engineering teams. Support tolerance stack-up analysis and DFA review to improve assembly feasibility.
- Fixture & Automation Sourcing: Collaborate with equipment vendors, automation teams, and contract manufacturers to develop assembly fixtures, automation equipment, and validate tooling.
- Yield Improvement: Analyze process deviations, failure patterns, and quality issues to implement sustainable improvement measures. Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Documentation & Communication: Produce clear technical documentation, including SOPs, process validation reports, and improvement plans. Present findings to engineering leadership and external partners.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, mechanical engineering, automation engineering, or NPI.
- Commodity Expertise: Experience in the development, optimization, or industrialization of manufacturing processes, ideally in the field of electric motors, automotive, or powertrain production.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Experience with stator, rotor, assembly processes, testing processes, or manufacturing technologies for electric drives. Strong understanding of mechanical part manufacturing (CNC, stamping, injection molding).
- Technical Skills: Strong background in DFM, DFA, process development, yield improvement, DOE, failure analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective action execution.
- Global Execution: Experience working with contract manufacturers, equipment vendors, and supply chain partners.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Language: Fluent in English to effectively interface with international clients and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's in Engineering or related discipline).
- Fluency in Mandarin to effectively interface with regional suppliers in Taiwan.
- Prior experience navigating the complexities of high-torque electric motor requirements (e.g., eBikes, industrial or automotive).
- Experience operating in an embedded-client environment or delivering integrated supply chain solutions.
