Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our manufacturing engineering team in driving operational excellence and process innovation. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager ensures the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of our established manufacturing facility. This role focuses heavily on maintaining plant equipment, managing facility infrastructure, sustaining mature production processes, and leading the maintenance team. While oversight of the plant’s technical data and engineering metrics is required, the primary goal is to ensure maximum machine uptime, cost control, and adherence to automotive quality standards. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is a key member of the management team and collaborates with various departments to improve manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Duties
- Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering and maintenance personnel, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to ensure the team’s success and professional growth.
- Sustain, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to improve production efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, 5S, and Lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce scrap and waste, and improve overall operational performance.
- Monitor and analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to maintain a safe and environmentally friendly work environment.
- Manage and oversee the implementation of equipment upgrades, technologies, and automation systems to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.
- Develop and manage the manufacturing engineering budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost control.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment to improve manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to resolve complex manufacturing issues, troubleshoot problems, and optimize production output.
- Adherence and contributions to overall plant and departmental KPI’s and improvement targets. This includes CAPEX projects and P&L awareness.
- Procure and maintain spare parts inventory for processes and equipment in the facility. This includes the facility exterior and infrastructure and campus grounds.
- Create and maintain master data in ERP software that includes materials and labor. Provide analysis information on the data for the purposes of budget and operational costs.
- Develop and maintain relationship with the customer base to ensure the customer’s interest is understood and clearly communicated in the RFQ and PPAP processes.
- Maintain healthy interfaces between internal (all employees and management) and external (customers, suppliers, and vendors).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role, ideally in the automotive supply industry.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, time management and project management.
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations and equipment
- Experience with 8D corrective action processes and other problem-solving tools
- Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory requirements and agencies
- Experience in SAP and/or other ERP software systems
- Software Understanding: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PLM, and other drafting and storage software
- IT Literacy – MS Office 365 applications

Pay: $105,000.00 – $120,000.36 per year
