Are you a Manufacturing Engineer looking to play a key role in bringing innovative engineering products into production?
We’re partnering with a growing technology manufacturer with a global reputation for designing and producing high-performance sensor solutions used across motorsport, marine, defence, utilities, and weather industries. With continued investment and expansion, they are looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer to support new product introduction and drive process improvements across manufacturing.
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support both new and existing products, working closely with R&D and production teams to ensure efficient and scalable manufacturing processes. You’ll play a key role in transitioning new designs into production, improving workflows, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
What you will do
- Support new product introduction and transfer to production.
- Design and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
- Work closely with R&D to ensure designs are optimised for manufacture.
- Create and maintain assembly work instructions and procedures.
- Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing workflows.
- Analyse production data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing.
- Provide training and support on new processes and product changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering projects.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and costs.
Skills & Experience required
- Degree qualified in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic or Production Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience within electronics, mechanical or device manufacturing environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI)
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and production teams.
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts.
- Hands-on approach within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
Desirable
- Knowledge of electronics and fault finding.
- Lean / Six Sigma experience (Green Belt advantageous)
- Experience with process improvement methodologies.
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills.
