Duties
- Conduct oil changes using hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper procedures are followed for different vehicle types.
- Perform tire rotations, alignments, and tire service to maintain vehicle safety and handling.
- Assist with basic automotive diagnostics to identify issues related to vehicle performance or mechanical problems.
- Support vehicle maintenance tasks such as fluid top-offs, filter replacements, and light mechanical repairs under supervision.
- Use mechanical knowledge to inspect vehicles for wear and tear, noting necessary repairs or services needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area, tools, and equipment to uphold safety standards and efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and recommending additional maintenance when appropriate.
Skills
- Previous dealership experience or automotive repair background highly preferred.
- Strong mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, alignments, tire service, and basic repairs.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
