Role Summary
The Automotive Service Lot Attendant (Sales Associate) will transport customers and dealership personnel as needed, manage vehicle detailing and organization, and support service and sales operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed
- Maintain building and grounds as needed
- Assist service and sales department duties
- Organize and park vehicles for sale and service department
- Remove vehicle protective coverings and before returning the completed vehicle to the customer
- Inspect vehicles for stains, debris and damages before returning to the customer and report any damage immediately
- Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks
- Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed
- Clean vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs, e.g., snow removal
- Identify lot merchandising needs or issues to the appropriate manager
- Place signage in and on vehicles for advertising purposes
- Monitor and organize vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process
- Maintain lot tidiness (garbage clearing, etc.)
Must‑Haves
- High school diploma or GED
- Interest in the automotive industry and knowledge about vehicles
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Experience with cleaning products and tools, including power washers (asset)
- Dependable, reliable, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
- Excellent customer service skills
