We are looking for an Operations Controller to join our team at Bayhead, Durban.
This is a hands-on role managing truck dispatch, driver bookings, container movements, and day-to-day depot operations at a busy port logistics facility.
Full fluency in Afrikaans is required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Dispatching trucks according to the daily plan and ensuring every driver is correctly briefed before leaving the yard.
- Matching container numbers to the planning sheet and confirming the correct container is loaded onto the correct truck before departure.
- Verifying axle weights, checking trailer combinations, and ensuring all vehicles are legally compliant before release.
- Ensuring all trucks are fuelled before departure and that drivers have submitted completed inspection sheets before collecting tags and seals.
- Receiving incoming trucks, ensuring all inspections are completed on arrival, and communicating all delays to the controllers promptly.
