SUMMARY:
Our international client is seeking an experienced and driven Logistics Manager to join their fast-paced automotive environment. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring vehicles and parts are delivered efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
POSITION INFO:
Requirements:
- Matric
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics Management or related qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ shipping and logistics management experience within the automotive industry
- Previous leadership or management experience
- Strong understanding of import/export procedures and freight operations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and computer literacy
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectivel
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage vehicle order placement, supply control, and pipeline management
- Coordinate imports and exports, including sea and airfreight shipments
- Liaise with freight agents, customs, carriers, inspection companies, and internal stakeholders
- Oversee cross-border export processes and related documentation
- Manage vehicle allocations, distribution, and third-party logistics providers
- Monitor logistics performance, damages, claims, and stock control processes
- Support the sales team with logistics planning and delivery coordination
- Lead and oversee logistics support staff and service providers
- Ensure reporting accuracy and adherence to operational deadlines
