This is a hands-on supervisory role managing a commercial vehicle workshop, a team of mechanics, and the full maintenance and repair cycle for an active truck fleet.
Full fluency in Afrikaans is required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising daily workshop operations and all workshop staff.
- Managing job cards, parts ordering, service scheduling, and preventive maintenance.
- Ensuring all vehicles and trailers pass a final inspection before leaving the workshop.
- Conducting performance appraisals, managing staff overtime, and liaising with HR on disciplinary matters.
- Reporting progress on all open jobs and communicating delays to the Head of Department without delay.
