Company Overview

A newly established automotive importer is launching an exciting new passenger vehicle brand in the Hungarian market. To support the setup and expansion of local operations, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join the growing team.

This is an opportunity to become part of a dynamic launch environment and play a key role in establishing efficient vehicle and parts logistics operations from the ground up.

Role Overview

The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring inbound and outbound automotive logistics activities, ensuring smooth vehicle and spare parts flow between factories, ports, warehouses, dealers, and logistics partners.

The role requires close cooperation with internal departments, external logistics providers, customs agents, and dealer partners to ensure timely deliveries, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate inbound and outbound vehicle logistics operations
  2. Monitor vehicle shipments from factory to local distribution network
  3. Manage spare parts logistics and warehouse coordination
  4. Track shipment schedules, delivery timelines, and transport performance
  5. Liaise with freight forwarders, transport companies, customs brokers, and warehouse providers
  6. Support customs clearance and import documentation processes
  7. Maintain accurate logistics and inventory records within ERP systems
  8. Monitor stock levels and support demand planning activities
  9. Coordinate vehicle PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) logistics processes where required
  10. Support dealer network logistics requirements and delivery coordination
  11. Assist in developing logistics procedures, KPIs, and reporting structures
  12. Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  13. Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company procedures
  14. Prepare regular logistics and operational reports for management

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  2. Minimum 3–5 years of logistics or supply chain experience, preferably within the automotive industry
  3. Experience with vehicle importation, warehousing, transport coordination, or spare parts logistics
  4. Good understanding of customs, import/export, and transportation processes
  5. Experience working with logistics service providers and external partners
  6. Familiarity with ERP systems and logistics tracking tools
  7. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
  9. Excellent communication and coordination abilities
  10. Fluent Hungarian and professional English language skills
  11. MS Office proficiency, especially Excel

Preferred Experience

  1. Automotive OEM, importer, distributor, or dealership group background
  2. Experience supporting new market launches or operational setup projects
  3. Knowledge of automotive aftersales logistics processes
  4. Exposure to inventory planning and forecasting activities
