Job Description
M.G.M. Townsend Tire Inc. is looking for a skilled, motivated, and reliable Licensed 310S Automotive Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform complex diagnostics, scheduled maintenance, and high-quality mechanical repairs on passenger vehicles and light-duty trucks. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision workmanship, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is dedicated to customer safety.
- Diagnostics: Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues using modern computerized scan tools.
- Repairs: Repair and replace parts for vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC units.
- Maintenance: Complete routine factory‑scheduled maintenance, including oil changes, alignments, and tire services.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct provincial safety inspections according to Ministry regulations.
- Documentation: Accurately log diagnostic findings, parts required, and steps taken on digital repair orders.
- Mentorship: Support and guide 310S automotive apprentices in the shop.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized bay and comply with WHMIS and other provincial regulations.
- Certification: Valid 310S Automotive Service Technician Certificate of Qualification.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
- Tools: Ownership of a complete set of personal tools required for daily service tasks.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a dealership or independent garage is preferred.
- Physical Ability: Capability to perform regular heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and work comfortably in a garage environment.
